What to expect after a VI Chemical Peel?

After your visit

Follow instructions in your skin care post procedure kit given to you by your technician. Use only products given to you for the next 7 days. Drink lots of water to keep your skin hydrated. Also, avoid direct sunlight for 7 days, and wash your hands before touching your face.

Caring for peeling skin

Let flaking skin come off on its own. Do not pull, pick, or rub at it, since picking may cause scarring.

Some itching while you peel is normal, especially in the evening. Use the products in your kit, and call us if it does not settle.

Sun protection matters during this first week. VI Aesthetics advises avoiding direct and extreme sun for the first 7 days and wearing the sunscreen from your aftercare kit every morning.
